RV Rentals at Epcot International Food & Wine Festival
The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival takes place at the EPCOT Theme Park at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. As of yet, there is no firm date for this year's festival, but it usually takes place over three or four months from late summer into the fall. According to the information on the Disney Tourist Blog, the tentative dates are from Aug. 28 until Nov. 22. ON-SITE AMENITIES
EPCOT is part of Walt Disney World, so the list of available on-site amenities is massive. To find out more information about what's offered, check the applicable webpages on EPCOT's and Walt Disney World's websites. A few of the amenities include restaurants, restrooms, lockers, and mobility scooter rentals. The festival offers food, drinks, and entertainment.
LOCATION
The actual street address of EPCOT is 200 Epcot Center Drive, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32821. The theme park itself is pretty large, so it's a good idea to park your RV at the campsite where you plan to stay and then take public transportation to both EPCOT itself and any other theme parks you decide to visit.
LINEUP
EPCOT's section of the Walt Disney World website doesn't list the lineup of food and wine vendors nor any entertainment or other activities as of yet. Still, the festival generally features a smorgasbord of culinary delights and many exquisite vintages for you to try.
RVING AT THE EVENT
There aren't any RV accommodations at EPCOT, but there are places in and near Orlando where you can camp in your RV and attend the festival. If you don't own an RV, there are many RV rental options. Here are a couple of places nearby: • Fort Wilderness RV Resort is available for RV camping. The campsites accommodate big rigs and come with full hookups, picnic tables, fire rings, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Some of the sites have room for tents as well as your RV. • You can camp at Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake Campground, which is only nine miles from Walt Disney World. The campground features disc golf and has a small set of RV campsites. The park also has a dump station.
WHERE TO STAY
Currently, there are 32 hotels attached to Walt Disney World. Each hotel offers different prices, packages, and themes, so to find out more information, check out the website. The closest hotel to EPCOT is the Disney Beach Club Resort, which is listed as a five to seven minute walk from EPCOT. If you'd prefer something a little more low key than staying at Walt Disney World itself, then the Magnolia Inn Bed & Breakfast is an outstanding place. At 35 miles away, it's close enough for a quick drive to EPCOT and far enough to be peaceful and quaint. The staff of the property encourages you to enjoy a cool drink in the porch swing and then explore the historic Mount Dora downtown. The property does not allow pets.
HOW TO GET THERE
From Jacksonville: Take I-95 south until you reach the junction with I-4. Then, follow I-4 south-southwest through Orlando and on to Lake Buena Vista. Watch for signs for EPCOT. From Miami: Drive north on I-95. At the junction with U.S. Route 192, take it west. Follow it until you reach the junction with I-4 in Orlando. Then, proceed south-southwest on I-4 and look for signs to EPCOT.
PARKING
Parking at EPCOT encompasses nearly 12,000 spaces. There are other parking areas of similar size attached to various points throughout the entire complex of Walt Disney World.
TICKETS & PRICING
You don’t need a separate ticket to attend the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Admission to the festival is included with park admission to EPCOT. You have dozens of options for tickets to both EPCOT itself and the rest of Walt Disney World. Each ticket has a range of prices based upon how many days you plan to spend at the festival and how many of the theme parks you wish to visit.
